About the Role
The Site Surveyor is responsible for providing surveying, setting out, dimensional control, and verification services for the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.
The role ensures that all construction activities are delivered accurately and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and project tolerances. The Site Surveyor will support engineering, construction, and commissioning teams by providing precise survey data, setting out information, and as-built records throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Duties
- Carrying out setting out activities for civil, structural, mechanical, and utility installations.
- Establishing and maintaining survey control points and site survey networks.
- Conducting dimensional, topographical, and as-built surveys throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verifying construction works against approved drawings, specifications, and project tolerances.
- Supporting engineering, construction, and commissioning teams with accurate survey data.
- Producing survey reports, records, and technical documentation.
- Assisting with quality assurance activities, inspections, and tolerance checks.
- Supporting handover documentation, asset records, and BIM requirements.

Ideal Candidate
Skills/Experience/Attributes
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering or construction surveying.
- Qualifications: Degree, HNC, or HND in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Competent in the use of Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and survey software.
- Surveying Experience: Proven experience producing setting out, dimensional control, and as-built surveys.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD and survey data management systems.
- Construction Knowledge: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
- Desirable: Experience within nuclear, utilities, water treatment, wastewater, or major infrastructure projects.
