We're recruiting for a Site Surveyor to join our largest and most established social housing planned works contract based in North Birmingham.

Working as part of a high-performing commercial and operational team, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across occupied social housing properties.

We're keen to hear from both experienced Site Surveyors and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to take the next step in their career. If you have a strong understanding of commercial processes within planned works, social housing, or Tier 1 contracting environments, this could be an excellent opportunity to progress into a broader surveying role within a well-supported team.

About The Role

The role will involve managing subcontractor accounts, carrying out valuations, monitoring costs and supporting commercial reporting across a large-scale social housing contract.

This position offers excellent exposure to a major long-term framework and provides clear development opportunities for individuals looking to advance their surveying career within a leading contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, payments and account management.
  • Prepare and submit applications, valuations and cost reports.
  • Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Support change control, variations and final account negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly commercial reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
