Wright Engineering is looking to recruit an experienced Site Surveyor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role will be based primarily on one of our projects in North London, with travel to other customer sites across the UK as required. The successful candidate should therefore be comfortable with working away from home when necessary.

We are looking for a technically capable and experienced surveyor with a strong understanding of construction and engineering environments, who can work accurately and confidently alongside site management, engineers, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out mechanical equipment, structural steelwork, supports, and associated installations using coordinates and dimensioned engineering drawings.
  • Operating precision total stations and other specialist surveying equipment.
  • Establishing and checking control points, datums, levels, and benchmarks.
  • Carrying out dimensional checks and verification surveys of installed works.
  • Completing as-built surveys and producing accurate as-built information.
  • Compiling and submitting survey reports and records in line with client requirements.
  • Identifying and reporting discrepancies between drawings, coordinates, and actual site conditions.
  • Liaising closely with site management, engineers, and installation teams regarding setting-out requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate, traceable, and well-organised survey records throughout the works.
  • Supporting the wider project team with surveying and dimensional control requirements as needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
