Site Technician (Part-Time) – BAM UK & Ireland
About the Role
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Site Technician to join their Facility Management (FM) team in the independent sector of the business, based at Tudor Grange Academy Haselor in Alcester, Warwickshire.
This is a 20-hour-per-week position, with hours to be confirmed. The hourly rate is £13.50.

How BAM “Makes Possible”
In addition to standard responsibilities, this role will require you to be multi-skilled, carrying out:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance
- Support based on BAM FM HR, Health & Safety (H&S), Quality, and Environmental policies.
Principal Accountabilities
- Problem resolution: Address daily requests from school authority representatives, building users, and BAM FM staff
- Multi-skilled site maintenance: Proactive approach to general site upkeep, portering, and portage duties
- Customer satisfaction: Deliver high-speed response times and completion rates for maintenance requests
- Maintenance programme management: Develop, coordinate, and manage ongoing maintenance schedules
- Procurement: Provide clear specification details to enable accurate purchasing of spares, tools, and consumables via the helpdesk
- Storage and security: Safely store spare parts, materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintenance reporting: Ensure self-reported issues are logged and resolved promptly
- Technical support: Assist other team members when requested
- Health and safety adherence: Follow all company procedures for contractors/site security and carry out risk assessments & method statements
- Daily operations: Perform tasks like room setup and response to porterage requests
- Building Monitoring System (BMS): Manage system and generate monthly reports
- Emergency access: Provide out-of-hours cover for urgent maintenance issues or emergency site access
- Flexible duties: Perform any other relevant responsibilities as assigned

What You Bring to the Role
✔ Technical experience – Strong background in one or more hill of repair trade disciplines (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) ✔ Teamwork – Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues ✔ Initiative – Proactive organisation and problem-solving skills ✔ Communication skills – Excellent interpersonal abilities to interact with students, staff, and stakeholders ✔ ** efficiencies** – Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively ✔ Digital literacy – Proficient IT skills (MS Office, maintenance software if required) ✔ Licensing – Hold a full driving licence (essential for school premises) ✔ Preferred – Prior experience working within an educational institution will be advantageous
