About the Role

We’re looking for a Site Services Manager to join our Engineering team at our Ambrosia site in Lifton, Devon. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring our critical site services and utilities operate safely, reliably, compliantly, and cost-effectively, supporting production and helping us maintain high standards across the site.

You’ll lead the site services function, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Health & Safety, Technical, Finance, Procurement, Group Engineering, regulators, insurers, and specialist contractors to manage risk, drive performance, and deliver continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of site utilities and infrastructure, including steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water systems, fire pumps, HVAC, building fabric, grounds, and drainage.
  • Managing the operation and performance of the effluent treatment plant, ensuring environmental compliance and effective control of risk.
  • Acting as the duty holder or responsible person for designated areas, where formally appointed, ensuring competence, inspections, records, and assurance are maintained.
  • Delivering effective planned maintenance, asset care, lifecycle, and resilience plans for critical site services equipment.
  • Leading and developing the Site Services team, as well as managing specialist contractors and service agreements.
  • Owning the departmental budget, forecasts, and cost control, including the cost to operate, maintain, and improve site services.
  • Monitoring compliance, utility availability, energy and water use, environmental performance, site condition, and planned versus unplanned maintenance.
  • Working cross-functionally to manage risk, coordinate work, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
