Site/QA Manager – Recladding Project | Plymouth
About the Role
TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Site/QA Manager to join a major recladding and building remediation project in Plymouth.
The successful candidate will lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the primary on-site representative, overseeing facade works, building remediation, quality assurance, health & safety and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Operations
- Lead daily briefings and site inductions.
- Conduct daily H&S walkarounds and maintain site safety standards.
- Inspect temporary works and maintain safety records.
- Maintain accurate Daily Diaries and site records.
- Manage site logistics, labour and Traffic Marshalls.
- Monitor emergency procedures and evacuation routes.
Quality Assurance & Design
- Review drawings to ensure design compliance.
- Manage quality control and photographic records.
- Maintain the Quality Tracker and ensure defects are closed out.
- Oversee material call-offs to prevent project delays.
- Ensure works are completed in line with project specifications and quality standards.

Programme & Commercial
- Monitor project progress and update the weekly programme using MS Project.
- Identify variations against the original JCT scope of works.
- Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure variations and instructions are formally documented.
- Maintain project documentation and shared drives.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Chair weekly subcontractor meetings and issue minutes.
- Attend client meetings as the primary technical site representative.
- Produce weekly progress reports and monthly client reports.
- Compile H&S documentation for internal and external audits.
- Regularly review RAMS and the Construction Phase Plan (CPP).
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager.
- Proven experience with facade systems, including rainscreen, cladding, glazing or EWI.
- Previous building remediation experience, including cladding, fire safety or structural remediation.
- Experience working for a Principal Contractor and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of JCT Contracts.
- Good knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of Building Control and structural warranty standards.
- SMSTS qualification – essential
- First Aid at Work (FAW) – essential
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) – essential
- PASMA – essential
- Scaffolding Awareness – essential
- Valid UK Driving Licence – essential

Desirable
- Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- MCIOB or ICIOB professional membership.
Project Details
📍 Location: Plymouth
📅 Start Date: 5th October 2026
🏗️ On-Site Start: 2nd November 2026
📆 Project Completion: October 2027
⏰ Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
The first four weeks will involve company training, project familiarisation and commencing pre-condition surveys before moving onto site.
