Industrial Placement Student in Digital Communications
If you are looking to kick start a career that is rewarding, where you can really make a difference, then come join our Digital Communications team as an Industrial Placement. You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects that our country has ever seen, being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Industrial Placement Student to join our Communications Team in our Suffolk offices.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK's largest construction and energy projects, helping to tell the story of Sizewell C to employees, local communities, stakeholders, and the wider public.
What you'll be doing
As part of our Communications Team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of communications activities and contribute to meaningful projects from day one. You could be:
- Creating engaging content for internal and external communication channels
- Supporting social media campaigns and digital communications
- Writing news stories, articles, interviews, and case studies
- Assisting with community engagement events and stakeholder activities
- Supporting photography, video, and content creation projects
- Monitoring media coverage and preparing reporting insights
- Helping to develop communication materials, presentations, and briefings
- Working with teams across the business to share key project updates and success stories

You should be:
- Currently studying towards a degree in Internal Communications, Communications & Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, English Language or English Literature, Business Management, Human Resources / People Management, Psychology, Sociology, Politics or Public Policy, International Relations, Events Management, Creative Writing, or Graphic Design
- Looking for a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- Creative, curious, and willing to learn
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications and digital platforms
- Interested in major infrastructure, sustainability, or the energy sector
