Digital & IT Industrial Placement
If you are looking to kick start a career that is rewarding, where you can really make a difference, then come join our Digital & IT Industrial placement programme. You will work on one of the most exciting and significant sustainable energy projects that our country has ever seen, being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
We’re recruiting for two Industrial Placement Digital & IT Industrial Placement in London.
Taking on a real job at a junior level, you'll have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience under the guidance of highly skilled and experienced colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing
During your placement, you'll work alongside experienced Digital and IT professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies and business functions. You may be involved in:
- Supporting IT service delivery and end-user support.
- Assisting with digital transformation initiatives across the business.
- Working with data, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
- Supporting cybersecurity and information management activities.
- Contributing to infrastructure, cloud, and networking projects.
- Helping deliver innovative digital solutions that improve business performance.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments.
No two days will be the same, and you'll gain valuable insight into how technology enables the delivery of a major infrastructure programme.

Over the course of this 12-month programme, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in hands-on learning, working on real-world challenges that directly impact the energy industry. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. You’ll have a chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for enthusiastic and curious individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to learn.
To be eligible, you'll be:
- Studying towards a degree in a relevant subject such as: Digital & IT or other relevant discipline.
- Seeking a 12-month industrial placement as part of your degree.
- A strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and keen to develop new skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Security Vetting
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting.
