Kepak is one of Europe's leading food producers
We are seeking experienced Butchers who are looking to progress their career and join our growing Beef Boning Department at KEPAK Bodmin. As a skilled Butcher, your role will be essential in ensuring that our meat products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Bodmin site are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, passionate team.

Responsibilities
- Use knives and other equipment to prepare and process meat products according to production specifications
- Ensure that meat products are cut and trimmed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations and procedures
- Meet production goals and work as a team to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Properly store and handle meat products to prevent waste and spoilage
- Continuously learn and improve knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques
You will start work at 06:00 in the morning and work until production is finished, Monday to Friday with weekends off. This role offers a full-time contract based on 45 hrs per week, any hours worked over the 45 will be paid at time & quarter of your hourly rate. You will have 2 x 30 min breaks per day.

Requirements
- Perform boning, butchering, trimming and finishing tasks at line speed
- Participate fully in Lean Manufacturing processes and embrace new methods of working
- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets
- Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues to the Line supervisor immediately
- Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the line, complete checks and ensuring materials are ready to use
- Perform all prestart, hygiene and safety checks as instructed
- Complying with Company's knife and health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements
- Reporting any accidents or near misses, assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
- Finishing products to the required specifications
- Maintaining and securely storing tools and equipment
- Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
