About the Role
As a Skilled Fitter, you will work on a production assembly line, assembling aircraft components to exact engineering specifications. You'll be responsible for carrying out precision drilling, riveting, cutting, and assembly operations while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
Working from engineering drawings and master layouts, you'll play a key role in delivering world-class aerospace products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aircraft components in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Carry out drilling, riveting, cutting, and fitting operations to fine tolerances.
- Install a variety of aerospace fasteners and rivets to a high standard.
- Produce quality work that meets engineering definitions and customer requirements.
- Follow manufacturing processes, specifications, and master layouts.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and workplace organisation standards.
- Work safely and identify and escalate any product or safety concerns.
- Contribute to achieving production and delivery targets.

- Competitive salary
- 37 hour working week over 4.5 days with a 1pm finish on Friday (role dependent)
- Flexi-time scheme that allows you to take two half days or one full day off per month (role dependent)

What You'll Bring
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Engineering, Sheet Metal, or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong practical skills using hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Experience with drilling, riveting, cutting, and assembly activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
