Leveraged Finance Associate | 1–6 PQE
An elite US law firm is looking to hire a 1–6 PQE associate into its London leveraged finance team.
The practice advises private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and borrowers on complex financing transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged and acquisition finance, refinancings, and sponsor-backed financings. The team works closely with the firm’s highly regarded private equity and corporate practices, providing exposure to sophisticated transactions involving leading sponsors and businesses across a range of sectors.

Responsibilities
- Substantial involvement in transactions, including drafting and negotiating finance documentation.
- Managing elements of deals.
- Working closely with senior lawyers and clients.

- 1–6 years’ PQE gained in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, or a strong banking practice.
- Experience acting for sponsors, lenders, or borrowers is relevant.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Sound transactional judgment.
- Ability to work effectively on demanding, time-sensitive matters.
