About The Role:
Working Pattern
Sunday to Wednesday mix of 12 hour days and nights, some other days needed where production requirements change.
The Skilled Production Operative will be responsible for working flexibly across all our clients Print Finishing operations. This role is to provide complete support to the Print Finishing department, working where required to assure that the print finishing operation works effectively from printed copy wound to disc, supply of inserts and product feeding, production line support, bundling, palletising and wrapping out for distribution.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting all aspects of the finishing department. Your main areas of focus will be, Production Lines, Inclusive of Stacker and Strappers.
- Hopper feeding (Setting up equipment and feeding), Operate and Maintain the Palletiser & Octopus' and also operating a Forklift (Training will be given)
- Ensure machines are loaded and replenished with sufficient supplies of materials
- To assist in the manual movement of production in the event of equipment failure.
- Loading inserts into Hopper/Stream feeder using correct manual handling techniques
- Cleaning and maintenance of the finishing lines
- Loading and unloading of pallets

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- All applicants MUST have a right to work in the UK
- Good communications skills
- Ability to work on own initiative AND as part of a team
- Basic organisational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Mechanical appreciation of equipment and moving parts
- Ability to work safely.
- Flexibility – Ability and a willingness to move between areas (training permitting) to meet the needs of the business
