Skilled Production Operator

As a Skilled Production Operator, you will set up and run lines in a busy savoury pastry area. You will make sure products meet the right quality, weight, and size standards throughout production. You will make line adjustments when needed, manage line performance, and make sure pastry waste is collected and sent for rework. You will work closely with the team to keep production safe, efficient, and on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the production line at the start of each shift
  • Check that the line is ready and running to the correct standard
  • Carry out regular weight and product size checks
  • Check product measurements throughout production
  • Follow foreign body control procedures at all times
  • Complete production checks and records clearly and accurately
  • Collect pastry waste from the line
  • Make sure pastry waste is sent for rework in line with site procedures
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules

  • Experience in food production or a similar manufacturing role
  • Experience setting up and running production lines
  • Good understanding of product weight and quality checks
  • Able to follow work instructions and set processes
  • Good understanding of food safety and foreign body control
