Location: Kettle Chips manufacturing team About this role: We’re on the lookout for experienced Production Operators to enhance our award-winning kettle chip production. Working in a fast-maced food manufacturing environment, your focus will be ensuring our kettle chips are consistently produced, tested, and delivered precisely as required by customers.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Operate equipment – Manage and monitor machinery across potato preparation, frying, seasoning, and packaging.
- Machine setup and efficiency – Efficiently carry out product changeovers to minimise downtime.
- Quality assurance – Perform routine quality checks for appearance, flavour, weight, and packaging standards.
- Food safety compliance – Monitor critical control points, adhere to food safety standards, HACCP procedures, and GMP.
- Documentation & records – Accurately complete production logs, quality checks, and traceability reports.
- Maintenance & troubleshooting – Identify equipment faults, escalate issues to maintenance teams, and handle basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and initial troubleshooting.
- Continuous improvement – Support initiatives aimed at boosting productivity, reducing waste, and increasing equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Housekeeping – Maintain high GMP housekeeping standards across workspaces.
- Health and safety – Follow all protocols to ensure a safe, collaborative team culture.

⚠️ Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) production.
- Hands-on experience working with food production machinery.
- Strong grasp of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and quality control mastery. -Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to leadership.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work a shift schedule (12-hour shifts: 7 AM–7 PM), including weekends and overtime as required.
- Basic IT skills for production data management.
💡 Additional Details
- Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM), rotating on a 3 on/3 off schedule.
- Salary & progression:
- Day Team (average): £25,165.80 per year.
- Night Team (average): £27,211.08 per year.
- Upon full training and qualification to Grade 3 level, salaries will increase to:
- Day Team (Grade 3): £27,725.54 per year.
- Night Team (Grade 3): £30,533.32 per year.
