Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Skilled Single Ply Fitter role based in the United Kingdom. The Skilled Single Ply Fitter will install, repair, and maintain single ply flat roofing systems on domestic and commercial properties, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to specification. Daily tasks include preparing roof surfaces, setting out and installing single ply membranes, detailing around penetrations and edges, and working with insulation and associated roofing components. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings and job specifications, collaborating with project managers and other team members, and maintaining a clean and safe work area in line with health and safety regulations. The Skilled Single Ply Fitter will also be expected to carry out quality checks, report progress, and address any on-site issues in coordination with supervisors and manufacturer representatives.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills in single ply membrane installation, including setting out, detailing, and finishing to a high standard.
- Experience with flat roofing systems and associated materials (insulation, vapour control layers, trims, and fixings).
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to roofing, including working at height and use of appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site team, communicate clearly with supervisors, and follow established procedures.
- Relevant industry certifications or training (e.g., single ply manufacturer training, CSCS card, working at height training) are advantageous.
- Previous experience in a similar roofing or construction role within the UK is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work across multiple sites in the South of the United Kingdom as required.
