Senior Skilled Technician - Meat Free
Location: Fakenham
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 18:00
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Skilled Technician to join our Meat Free production team in Fakenham.
You will support the Shift Manager and Team Leader in ensuring the production line operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for setting, operating, stripping, cleaning and preparing production machinery, while supporting the wider team to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate, strip down and clean production machinery.
- Ensure machinery is ready and set up correctly for production.
- Support the team in achieving production targets and KPIs.
- Minimise downtime and respond quickly to production issues.
- Complete production checks, paperwork and KPI records.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, GMP, HACCP and food safety.
- Support clean-downs and changeovers.
- Train and support team members.
- Deliver daily TOPS talks.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations.
- Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
About You
You'll Ideally Have
- At least 1 year's FMCG experience, preferably as a Machine Minder, Skilled Technician or similar.
- Experience setting and operating production machinery.
- Experience stripping and cleaning machinery.
- Basic Food Hygiene, HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety awareness.
- Good communication and IT skills.
- A proactive "can-do" attitude and a strong focus on safety and quality.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
