Help Shape the Future of Food Safety Professionals

Are you passionate about food safety, regulatory compliance and developing the next generation of Food Hygiene Officers?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Skills Coach to support apprentices undertaking the Regulatory Compliance Officer (RCO) Level 4 Apprenticeship, with a specialist focus on a newly developed Food Hygiene Officer pathway aligned to the evolving Food Standards Agency (FSA) Competency Standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with coaching and mentoring, helping learners apply their knowledge in real workplace settings and develop the competence required for careers within local authority food regulation and public protection.

About The Role

As a Skills Coach, you will guide, challenge and support apprentices throughout their learning journey, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become confident and competent regulatory professionals.

You will:

  • Coach and mentor apprentices working within food safety and regulatory compliance roles.
  • Conduct progress reviews and provide developmental feedback.
  • Support portfolio and evidence building.
  • Deliver contextualised learning aligned to food hygiene regulation and enforcement practice.
  • Help apprentices prepare for End Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Work closely with employers to ensure learning is embedded in workplace practice.
  • Support the development of a high-quality programme aligned to the FSA Competency Framework and industry expectations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
