Description

At CFC, developing the right skills is critical to how we grow, innovate and perform. As Skills Development Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping how we build the expertise needed to support the next phase of CFC's growth.

Working closely with business leaders, HRBPs and the wider Talent & Development team, you'll identify priority skills, design practical development solutions and help create clear pathways for people to grow their careers at CFC.

Operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, you'll lead initiatives across skills development, career frameworks, job architecture and management development, helping ensure our people have the skills needed to succeed today and in the future.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, influencing how skills are developed across the business and delivering work that has a visible impact on performance and growth.

About the role

  • Shape and deliver skills initiatives that support business priorities and future growth.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical skills requirements and development priorities.
  • Use data and insight to inform decisions, measure impact and guide investment.
  • Own and evolve CFC's skills framework, career pathways and job architecture.
  • Build clear career pathways that support employee growth and internal mobility.
  • Embed skills frameworks across development, career progression and broader People initiatives.
  • Design and deliver practical management development initiatives that help managers lead effectively, provide feedback and support performance.
  • Work with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality development experiences that create measurable impact.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure development activity delivers measurable business value.
  • Contribute to broader People initiatives that strengthen organisational performance and support business growth.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines expertise in skills development with a commercial mindset, helping the business build the skills needed for future success.

You'll likely bring:

  • Experience in skills development, organisational development, career frameworks or job architecture within a commercial environment.
  • Proven experience developing and embedding skills frameworks, career pathways or job architecture.
  • Experience using skills and development data to identify priorities, inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to understand future skills requirements and translate them into practical development solutions.
  • A track record of delivering initiatives that strengthen performance and support business growth.
  • Commercial judgement and an understanding of how skills development contributes to business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ideally within financial services, insurance, a private equity-backed business or a similarly complex commercial organisation.
