Skills / Lifting Instructor

3t is currently looking to recruit a Skills / Lifting Instructor on a permanent contract in Aberdeen, UK.

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week. The working hours for this role are 7.30am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday, including a 45-minute unpaid lunch break.

The Opportunity

Role Purpose

To deliver 3t’ approved suite of courses within the given technical subject area at 3t training centres in a consistent, professional way which reflects 3t’ business integrity and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver courses as required in line with 3t and accrediting body requirements
  • To support customers during course delivery as appropriate
  • To participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required
  • To provide support to trainee and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Apply 3t and where appropriate Client’s HSE Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that all 3t quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times

Essential Criteria

  • Industry recognised Assessor Qualification, SQA / OPITO or equivalent
  • Industry recognised Instructor / Teaching Qualification
  • Relevant lifting qualifications / certification, OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment or Reassessment, OPITO Banksman Slinger Competence Assessment or Reassessment
  • Offshore Crane Operator Certification

Courses initially required to deliver:

  • OPITO Rigger / Banksman Initial Training
  • OPITO Rigger / Banksman Competence Assessments
  • Loler Competent Person
  • Client bespoke lifting courses as required
  • Variety of HSE courses
