Working Pattern

Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth, London or Stockport Office. Full time hours per week.

What This Role Is All About

We’re looking for a Skills Transformation Consultant to support the delivery of Vitality’s skills transformation strategy and strengthen the capabilities needed to achieve its wider business priorities. The role will partner with leaders and People teams to identify priority skills, analyse workforce data and deliver transformation initiatives that support workforce planning, career development and internal mobility. Working across the organisation, the role will combine consultancy, skills intelligence and project delivery to embed skills-based approaches into workforce planning, career development, learning and AI enablement.

Key Actions

  • Support the delivery of Vitality’s skills transformation strategy and roadmap, translating priorities into practical initiatives across the organisation
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners and People teams to identify critical skills, emerging capability needs and workforce risks
  • Facilitate skills reviews and workforce planning activities that connect business priorities with future people and capability requirements
  • Analyse internal skills data and external market intelligence to produce clear insights, recommendations and evidence-based actions
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality skills data and support effective reporting through platforms including myCareer and iThrive
  • Provide trusted consultancy on skills-based approaches and their integration across talent, learning, career development and workforce processes
  • Lead defined initiatives and project stages, coordinating stakeholders, communications and delivery against agreed objectives
  • Support the adoption of skills-first ways of working through structured change management, engagement and capability-building activity
  • Deliver initiatives that strengthen internal mobility, career development and access to relevant skills-building opportunities
  • Evaluate the impact of skills transformation activity and use findings to recommend improvements and inform future priorities

  • Specialist knowledge of skills intelligence and the ability to interpret skills and workforce data
  • Strong analytical capability with experience turning complex information into practical recommendations
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders, HR Business Partners and People teams in a consultancy capacity
  • Experience delivering change initiatives and supporting the adoption of new processes or ways of working
  • Strong project delivery skills with the ability to manage defined initiatives and contribute to broader programmes
  • Confident communication and influencing skills across teams and organisational levels
  • The ability to work independently, solve complex problems and bring a fresh perspective to existing approaches
  • A collaborative working style and the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
