Having launched our first flagship store in London, we're now bringing the energy of Skin Cupid shop-in-shops into John Lewis. This is a pivotal moment in our growth story, and the beauty consultants we hire for these roles will be at the very heart of it.
About the Role
This is a concession-based full-time role at John Lewis Kingston.
As our Beauty Consultant at John Lewis Kingston, you'll be the sole Skin Cupid representative on the ground, responsible for everything from delivering expert skincare consultations to managing stock, maintaining visual standards, and actively driving sales performance. You'll have the autonomy of running your own operation and the backing of Skin Cupid HQ, but day-to-day, this concession is yours to own.

What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering expert, personalised skincare consultations, understanding each customer's skin type, concerns, and goals, and recommending products with genuine confidence and depth.
- Educating customers on K-beauty ingredients, actives, and routine-building in a way that makes Asian beauty feel accessible and compelling.
- Taking full ownership of the concession: managing stock levels, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and keeping the stand operating at its best.
- Monitoring sales performance, identifying trends, and proactively implementing strategies to drive footfall, conversion, and repeat visits.
- Building strong, professional relationships with John Lewis staff and management — representing Skin Cupid with credibility in their environment.
- Staying ahead of product launches, ingredient developments, and K-beauty trends so your knowledge is always a step ahead.
- Keeping Skin Cupid HQ informed: reporting on performance, sharing customer feedback, and flagging anything that needs attention.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in beauty retail: a minimum of 2 years in a beauty, skincare, or specialist product environment. Experience in premium or luxury retail (department stores, specialist beauty retailers, or brand counters) is a strong advantage.
- Deep skincare knowledge: you can hold a detailed, confident conversation about skin types, concerns, active ingredients, and routine-building. K-beauty knowledge is highly desirable; a strong skincare foundation is essential.
- Commercially driven: you understand what it means to own a sales target. You track performance, spot opportunities, and take initiative to improve results rather than waiting to be directed.
- Self-sufficient and organised: you're comfortable managing a space independently, making decisions on the ground, and communicating proactively back to HQ without needing day-to-day oversight.
- Warm and consultative customers can tell the difference between someone going through the motions and someone who genuinely cares about their skin. You're the latter.
- Available to work weekends as part of your regular schedule.
