Role overview

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract for Marketing Executive – Events, Sky Media. Sky Media is the advertising sales arm of Sky, and the Marketing team is responsible for setting and delivering Sky Media's marketing strategy across the advertising industry.

As Marketing Executive – Events, your role is to help deliver owned and third-party events where Sky Media interacts with the industry, including: industry and trade marketing events, hospitality, client dinners, briefings, up fronts, showcases and more. In a relationship business, these are among the most visible and important moments of connection between Sky Media and our target audience – media agencies and brand clients.

The role covers the full event lifecycle from concept and budget through to delivery and evaluation. You will work in close partnership with Marketing Program Managers who will set strategy and requirements for multiple marketing plans and you will ensure events required within that activity are delivered in a timely, efficient and engaging way that delivers on clearly set objectives. You will leverage internal capabilities – creative, content, social, project management – as well as working with external event production companies.

The role requires someone who is all over the detail, capable of running multiple event projects at the same time and who is excellent with time management and communication, and who always delivers.

What you'll do:

Delivery

  • Run events end-to-end alone or in collaboration with Marketing Program Managers to cover: concept, budget, venue, production, content, guest management, on-site delivery and follow-up.
  • Brief and manage external suppliers where required, holding them to scope, budget and standard.
  • Work with Creative Directors on branded elements and collateral and with Content Manager on stage content and speaker material as required.
  • Manage guest lists and invitations with the commercial teams so the right people are in the room.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
