Role overview

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract for ‘Marketing Manager – Content, Sky Media’. Sky Media is the advertising sales arm of Sky, and the Marketing team is responsible for setting and delivering Sky Media's marketing strategy across the advertising industry.

As ‘Marketing Manager – Content’, your role is to be the ‘in-house journalist’ and own Sky Media's editorial voice. You will turn audience data, effectiveness evidence and market understanding from key stakeholders into thought leadership, insight reports, case studies, narratives and other long form written content that is used to promote Sky Media and its offering across the advertising industry. You will work in close partnership with Marketing Program Managers who will set strategy and requirements for multiple marketing plans and you will ensure content required within that activity is delivered in a timely, efficient and engaging way that delivers on clearly set objectives.

The role requires someone who is comfortable talking about industry issues in depth with subject matter experts across linear TV, VOD, Digital, Podcast, Streaming and general advertising, and has the ability to turn the conversations into clearly communicated points of view, research reports, case studies and more.

What you'll do

Editorial strategy and tone of voice

  • Help deliver the Sky Media editorial strategy through written content.
  • Establish and enforce tone of voice and editorial standards across all written Marketing content.
  • Maintain a rolling content plan that serves multiple marketing programs and holds a coherent narrative across each of them.

Content production

  • Write and edit thought leadership, insight reports, case studies, narratives, award entries, scripts, event content and executive communications as required.
  • Work with insight and research teams to turn data into narratives.
  • Commission, brief and edit external writers (PR agency) as required, and hold the standard of what they deliver.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
