Slaughter Operatives
Pay: £13.64 - £18.32 dependant on skills and experience
Shift Pattern: Monday To Friday
07:00 to 17:00 (2 x half hour unpaid breaks)

With a family tradition in butchery stretching back more than 30 years and a passion for provenance and quality, C&K Meats is an award-winning British pork producer in the heart of Suffolk countryside. We are now proudly part of the wider CPC Foods Group and International food company Premium Food Group.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Slaughter Operative to join our busy meat processing team. This role involves working within a fast-paced slaughterhouse environment, ensuring the humane handling and processing of pigs in line with food safety, animal welfare, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out humane slaughter of pigs in accordance with welfare regulations
- Operate slaughter and processing equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere strictly to hygiene and food safety standards
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets
- Report any issues, equipment faults, or welfare concerns immediately
Skills and Qualifications:

- Slaughter experience with Pigs is required for our Skilled rates
- Excellent Communication skills as you will be dealing with a diverse workforce as well as communicating with Senior Stakeholders
- A very good understanding of verbal and written English
- Ability to work in a cold environment
What we can offer you:
- Slaughter Operatives up to £18.32 per hour
- Overtime will be paid for any hours worked over 45 hours per week at time and a half
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
