SLC Compliance Officer
Location: Holborn, London
Overall Purpose:
The Compliance Officer leads on compliance oversight of domestic/home student recruitment, including admissions controls, external agents, and partner activity. The role ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, protects student interests, and supports sustainable growth.
Role Focus:
Compliance ownership of domestic student recruitment, admissions controls, and agent/partner oversight within higher education, focusing on consumer protection and fair student outcomes.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in compliance, audit, legal, or quality assurance roles within UK regulated environments with strong exposure to audit.
Regulatory Depth:
Strong knowledge of OfS requirements including partner oversight, admissions controls, quality and standards, and student protection obligations.

Proposals for a new approach to consumer and student protection
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the compliance framework for domestic admissions and partner/agent activity.
- Develop and implement policies, controls, and monitoring aligned to regulatory expectations.
- Deliver risk-based monitoring and audit programs.
- Ensure recruitment practices meet consumer protection requirements.
- Support regulatory reviews, audits, and investigations.
- Provide reporting to senior leadership.
- Provide compliance guidance and training.

Senior compliance professional with strong audit discipline and regulatory understanding.

Essential Experience:
- 10+ years in compliance or related roles
- Strong audit and monitoring experience
- Knowledge of OfS regulation
- Experience overseeing third parties
