Student Records, Statutory Returns and Compliance (SRC) Team

SLC Coordinator
Ref: SC5038

Salary on appointment will be £26,707 per annum, with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an SLC Coordinator to join the Student Records and Statutory Compliance (SRC) Team within the Finance and Planning (FPG) division. This role is central to ensuring that the University meets its statutory obligations to the Student Loans Company (SLC), supporting the accurate administration of student finance processes and providing advice and guidance on SLC-related matters to students and staff.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Play a key role in administering student finance activities for the Universities’ Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research students.
    • Ensure compliance with Student Loans Company regulations and University procedures.
    • Maintain the SLC Course Management Service (CMS).
    • Support student registration and attendance confirmation.
    • Process changes of circumstance.
    • Help to ensure the timely release of student funding and tuition fee payments.
    • Contribute to the University's preparations for the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE).
    • Support continuous improvement of systems and processes.

  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with colleagues across Academic Registry, Admissions, ITCS, Data Quality & Standards, Student Information Zone and Finance teams.
    • Provide advice and guidance to both staff and students on student finance matters.
    • Assist with reporting, reconciliations, training, guidance materials, and process development.
    • Help maintain high standards of data quality, compliance, and customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to A-Level standard, degree level, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities and delivering advice or support to customers or stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of student records systems, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, or external funding bodies would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
  • UEA offers a variety of flexible working options, including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only, and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
