About the role
You will be collecting, analysing, and presenting data throughout the study informing the intervention and app and contributing directly to the education/instructional videos contained within them. Therefore, you will be contributing to the development and refinement of a potential medical device that could become adopted into clinical practice, not just in the UK but globally.
What you would be doing
You will run the project day-to-day, supervised by the project lead and other senior team members, and with some help from another RA. This involves liaising with patients to arrange their (online) clinical trials visits, collecting, verifying and recording, and analysing, data, for example. You will also be responsible for the care of the patients in the trials regarding their CPAP therapy, for anything that the app cannot provide. You will also contribute to the intervention and app as discussed above.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
