Sliding Head Lathe Setter / Programmer (Precision Engineering)
£45,000 - £50,000 + Overtime (1.5x) + Xmas Bonus + Half Day Friday + Free Parking

Are you a Sliding Head Lathe Setter / Programmer with experience programming and setting CNC sliding head machines, looking to join a leading precision engineering company where you'll manufacture high-quality, small to medium batch components, with opportunities for overtime and longer weekends?
This company is a trusted name in high-precision component manufacturing, supplying industries that demand the highest standards. Due to sustained growth, they are looking for an experienced Sliding Head Setter / Programmer to strengthen their machining team.
In this role, you will set, program and operate Sliding Head CNC lathes (Citizen, Star, Tsugami or similar), manufacturing prototype and batch components to tight tolerances. You will work from complex engineering drawings, selecting tooling, proving out programs and ensuring quality and accuracy throughout production, with opportunities to further develop your programming skills.

This role would suit a Sliding Head Lathe Setter / Programmer with proven experience on CNC sliding head machines who is looking for a stable, long-term role within a growing company offering overtime, bonuses and excellent working conditions.
The Role:
- Set, program and operate CNC Sliding Head lathes
- Manufacture high-precision components from engineering drawings
- Select tooling, set offsets and prove out new programs
- Ensure quality and accuracy to tight tolerances
- Monday to Friday (overtime available)
