Salary/Rate: £17.50 PAYE - £24.00 CIS

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Slinger Signaller to join our team on a new build food manufacturing project in North Tawton, EX20 2EB. You will play a vital role in directing Telehandler operations, ensuring loads are lifted, moved, and positioned safely and efficiently on site. As this will only take up 10% of your time other duties will include, assisting pipe fitters and mechanical fitters with mechanical installation along with other general site duties for which training will be given.

Key Responsibilities
- Attaching and detaching loads to the telehandler using slings and other lifting accessories
- Directing telehandler operators using clear hand signals and/or radio communication
- Inspecting lifting equipment and accessories before use, reporting any defects
- Assessing loads to determine the safest lifting method
- Maintaining clear communication with the telehandler driver, site team, and other banksmen
- Ensuring lifting operations comply with site rules, lift plans, and health & safety regulations
- Keeping the lifting area clear of unauthorised personnel
- Completing Daily Checks And Paperwork As Required
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger Signaller card (Red or Blue card)
- Proven experience in a slinger signaller role on construction sites
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and site safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Good understanding of load weights, rigging, and crane capacities
- Valid CSCS card
- Live within a commutable distance of EX20 2EB.
