Start Your Veterinary Career with Ash Tree Vets

Are you a newly qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking for a supportive practice where you can develop your clinical skills, build confidence and thrive as part of a friendly, experienced team? Are you graduating in December and starting to look for your first role?

At Ash Tree Vets, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to both patients and clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, well-established practice that is committed to supporting the next generation of veterinary professionals. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one but we do want a colleague with enthusiasm, a proactive attitude and a desire to learn.

Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you.

What We Offer

We understand that the transition from university to practice can be both exciting and challenging. From day one, you’ll be supported by an experienced and approachable team, who are committed to helping you grow in confidence and develop your clinical skills.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work up cases, develop your consulting and surgical abilities, and make clinical decisions with the reassurance that help and guidance are always available when you need it.
  • We encourage questions, discussion, and collaboration, creating an environment where learning is part of everyday practice.

As a 15 vet practice, we have a wealth of experience including certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Surgery, Medicine, and ECC alongside individuals undergoing further training in Behaviour. We also offer Physiotherapy and Acupuncture in house to our clients. Within the team, we have 5 vets who started here as New Graduates; two of whom returned after time in different practices and one who is still here 16 years on.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
