About The Role
As a FM Works Manager, you will oversee the delivery of small facilities management (FM) works, both technical and non-technical, across a client portfolio in Europe and Asia Pacific (APAC). You will keep the works tracker current, support the FM team in managing minor works, and coordinate physical moves within buildings. The role is office based at the client main campus in London and reports to the Alliance Director.
The client is a financial institution. You will handle several small works at once, including at remote and unstaffed locations, and keep the client informed on progress, cost, and completion. This is an FM works role. It does not cover construction or complex project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Maintain the works tracker. Log each small work, record its status, and keep progress, cost, and completion dates current for the FM team and the client.
- Support the FM team in managing minor works from request through to completion. Coordinate contractors, schedules, and site access across several works running at the same time.
- Support physical moves within buildings. Plan the moves of people, furniture, and equipment with minimal disruption to building users as per the FM team’s needs.
- Manage works across remote and unstaffed sites in Europe and Asia Pacific. Arrange access, brief on-site contacts, and confirm completion where you cannot attend in person.
- Report to the client on FM works. Prepare clear status updates, flag risks and issues early, and confirm each work meets the agreed scope and standard.
- Support remote teams to complete minor non-complex tasks from a technical perspective.
- Manage budgets for FM works. Track spend against budget, review quotes and invoices, and recommend when to release funds.
- Carry out periodic site checks. Confirm completed work meets the agreed specification and the client standards.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day issues. Escalate anything that falls outside FM works to the Alliance Director.
- Lead by example and model behaviours consistent with the company values.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
