Small Works Estimator | Commercial Environments | Building Fabric Disciplines | £50,000 + Company Car | Redhill, Surrey with travel across SE England.

Due to increased workload, we are currently recruiting for a Small Works Estimator to join our small works projects team, over-seeing surveying, pricing / estimating for small works (circa £1,000 - £100,000 values) within a wide range of commercial environments.

As the Small Works Estimator, you will be working within a well-established team, based in Redhill, Surrey. Your week will be split between office-based and visiting client sites. Office-based work will include pricing works from circa £1,000 - £10,000 valuations and submitting quotes in a timely manner within contract SLA & KPIs, alongside all administration support from site visits. The remainder of the week will be visiting client sites and taking project works from initial enquiry, full site survey and providing full quotes for works between £10,000 - £100,000 valuation.

Works that you will be pricing will all be small works projects within commercial environments including carpentry, flooring, tiling, fire doors, refurbishments, large emergency repairs, minor brickwork and minor roofing.

Employment Package

Role: Small Works Estimator

Status: Permanent, PAYE

Base Salary: £50,000 + company car and fuel card.

Location/s: Hybrid - Redhill, Surrey - with travel across the South East of England to client sites/projects. Role 50/50 office-based + travelling.

Environments: Commercial - restaurants, pubs, retail stores, coffee shops, gyms etc.

Project Sizes: £1,000 - £100,000 typically.

Nature of projects: Carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, refurbishments, fire doors, flooring, tiling, major repairs, minor brickwork, minor roofing etc.

22 days holiday + bank holidays (total 30 days), company pension, phone, laptop etc.

Hours: 08:30am - 5:00pm

Working within a competent, established team.

Requirements

  • Must have experience within a similar position previously, surveying / quoting / estimating small works.
  • Must have a basic understanding of building fabric disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, fire doors, flooring, tiling, refurbishments etc.
  • Previous experience using a CAFM system is highly preferable, Simpro or ProNett in particular would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within commercial environments is highly preferable.
  • Must have a UK driving license with 9 points or less.
