What the role is
Job Title: SME Accounting Apprentice
Working Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday
Contract Type: Apprenticeship
Location: Lytham St Annes
Taking inbound calls, filtering to accountants, and answering basic questions from clients
Outbound Calls – Mainly to HMRC for things such as payment queries, chasing refunds etc.
Filing statutory document with Companies House, to include company accounts, confirmation statements and anything else needing to be filed.
Filing documents with HMRC to include, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, Payroll and P11d’s.
Bookkeeping for our clients online using QuickBooks, Xero, and Free Agent.
Preparation of VAT returns for clients, using the online software’s.
Ensuring the client data is accurate between our systems and what is registered at Companies House, to include shareholdings, Registered Office,

Expected Salary
What Skills are required
- Working towards an accounting qualification.
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
- Commitment to getting it right first time.
- Ability to deal with clients and members of the company with empathy, and in line with the company values.
- Strong Organisational and Analytical skills.
