Query Manager
We're looking for a Query Manager to join our growing Service Maintenance and Repair (SMR) team. We're seeking a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data, and is passionate about improving processes and delivering accurate outcomes.
As the SMR Query Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our daily trading operations. You’ll be accountable for certifying each day's trading activity, ensuring all jobs have been completed, correctly classified, and supported by accurate inputs, with all activity validated and ready for end-of-day executive reporting.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll investigate and resolve queries, improve data quality, and identify opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and automation.
You’ll be highly comfortable working with large volumes of data and have previous experience in reconciliation or data validation activities. You'll possess a strong analytical mindset, be naturally inquisitive, and enjoy investigating discrepancies to identify root causes and drive resolution.
If you’re a self-starter who is willing to dig into the detail, challenge assumptions, and take ownership of issues through to completion, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a full-time hybrid position working 2 days a week from our Bescot offices and three days from home.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
