Role: Snowflake Admin Lead
Location: London
Mode: Hybrid, 3 days WFO/week
Hiring Type: Contract 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Manage Snowflake account-level, database-level, schema-level, and object-level roles using RBAC model (roles, role hierarchy, grants)
  • Administer Azure AD / SSO group mappings (SCIM/OAuth integration) for automated user provisioning and access control
  • Maintain environment/domain-based role and database structure (DEV / QA / PROD segregation, domain schemas)
  • Govern access lifecycle (grant/revoke roles & privileges) via ServiceNow/request workflows and ensure compliance documentation updates
  • Support Snowflake object lifecycle management (databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, streams)
  • Support data platform onboarding and integration enablement (schema setup, access provisioning, initial environment configuration)
  • Manage data access and sharing configurations (secure data sharing, external integrations, role-based access segregation)
  • Enforce RBAC policies across account, database, schema, and object levels ensuring domain-based access segregation
  • Work with Security teams for Firewall rules, VPN approvals, Access governance
  • Data Validation & Quality Assurance
  • Monitoring, Incident & Support
  • Prepare and Maintain Snowflake SOLD (Solution Design Documents), Integration templates and Knowledge base articles for access and onboarding

  • Strong experience with Snowflake platform administration
  • Own day-to-day administration of Snowflake environments (databases, schemas, warehouses)
  • Manage compute warehouses (scaling, performance, cost optimization)
  • Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational efficiency
  • Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and RCA
  • Experience with Snowflake (schemas, RBAC, permissions), Azure (ADLS, PrivateLink, networking)
  • Understanding of Data mesh / domain-driven architecture
  • Experience with VPN, Proxy, SSH tunnels, Static IP configurations
  • Co-ordination with Infra and Networking teams
  • Monitoring & troubleshooting data pipelines
  • Incident and Change Management
