Job Title: Snowflake Architect

Job Location:

London, UK/ Remote with occasional office visit.

Job Type:

Permanent

Job Description:

  • 10+ years of overall experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Platforms. Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimisation.
  • Proven expertise in designing enterprise-scale data platforms, data lakes, and modern data warehouse solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake features including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Data Sharing, RBAC, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in data modelling, including dimensional modelling, star and snowflake schemas, and data vault concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and integration with Snowflake.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, DBT, Python, SQL, and orchestration tools.
  • Ability to define architecture standards, patterns, best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with business and technical teams.
  • Comfortable leading architecture discussions, presenting solution designs, conducting design reviews, and influencing technical decisions.
  • Experience creating architecture documents, solution blueprints, and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills.
  • Prior experience in Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domains is preferred.

  • Design and own end-to-end Snowflake architecture and solution strategy.
  • Define architecture patterns, frameworks, and best practices for enterprise data platforms.
  • Lead solution design workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Present architecture designs and recommendations to customers, architects, and leadership teams.
  • Provide technical leadership to delivery teams and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
  • Drive performance optimisation, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver modern data solutions.
  • Support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal activities where required.
