Opportunity
As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining reliable data solutions that support the organisation's cloud-based analytics platform. You'll help design efficient data pipelines, improve data quality, and ensure the overall performance and reliability of the company's modern data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated data ingestion processes using Fivetran.
- Develop and enhance scalable transformation models within dbt.
- Monitor, optimise, and manage Snowflake environments with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.
- Apply version control standards and support CI/CD processes for dbt development.
- Configure orchestration workflows and proactively monitor pipeline performance.
- Investigate and resolve data issues to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operations.
- Partner with Business Intelligence teams and Data Stewards to deliver accurate, governed datasets.
- Assist internal stakeholders by improving data accessibility and streamlining data workflows.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and has hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong SQL skills with experience optimising Snowflake databases.
- Practical experience working with both Fivetran and dbt.
- Knowledge of data modelling principles, governance, and data security best practices.
- Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect would be advantageous.
- Experience working within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience.
