Senior SOC Analyst (Sentinel)
£500-£600 per day | Inside IR35
Southampton (flexible hybrid)
We're supporting a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated environment as they continue to strengthen their Cyber Defence capability.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SOC professional to join a well-established security team working with modern Microsoft security technologies and responding to sophisticated cyber threats.
The Opportunity
As a Senior SOC Analyst, you'll play a key role in monitoring, investigating and responding to security incidents across a complex enterprise estate.
You'll work closely with cyber defence teams to identify threats, improve detection capabilities and strengthen the organisation's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel
- Analyse and respond to security incidents
- Conduct investigations into phishing and malicious email campaigns
- Perform threat hunting activities
- Develop and optimise detection rules using KQL
- Enhance SIEM content and analytics
- Support incident response activities
- Assist with forensic investigations across network and endpoint environments
Essential Experience
- 4+ years within a SOC environment
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Sentinel experience
- Advanced KQL skills
- Proven incident response experience
- Experience analysing malicious emails and security threats
- Strong understanding of modern cyber attack techniques

- SC clearance
- Regulated environments
