SOC Automation Engineer – XSOAR / SOAR
Up to £54,000 | Mainly Remote | Occasional Leeds once every 3 months
I’m working with a leading MSP who are looking for a SOC Automation Engineer to join their growing Security Operations team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the engineering and automation side of SOC, building playbooks and workflows that reduce manual analyst work and improve incident response.
The Role
- Build and develop automation across SIEM, SOAR and EDR platforms
- Create automated playbooks for incident response, enrichment, containment and remediation
- Build integrations across security platforms using REST APIs and webhooks
- Develop reusable automation using Python / PowerShell
- Work closely with SOC Analysts, Detection Engineers and Platform Engineers
- Improve and optimise existing automation workflows
- Support customer workshops and occasional pre-sales activity
- Help shape the wider SOC automation roadmap

Experience Required
- Proven track record with SOC, Security Automation or Security Engineering
- Hands-on experience with SOAR / security automation
- Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR experience would be highly desirable
- Python and/or PowerShell scripting
- Experience with APIs, integrations and automation workflows
- Good understanding of SIEM, EDR and incident response
- Experience within an MSP/MSSP or multi-tenant environment would be beneficial
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK
- Must hold or be eligible for UK SC Clearance
