Job Title: SOC Manager
Location: Remote
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: £750 - £850 (Inside IR35)
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) Manager to lead and develop our cyber security operations capability. You will be responsible for overseeing the detection, response, and remediation of cyber threats while driving improvements across security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and associated security operations teams
- Oversee cyber incident detection, response, containment, and remediation activities
- Develop and continuously improve cyber incident response plans and processes
- Define and enhance logging, monitoring, and threat detection use cases
- Drive threat intelligence gathering, assessment, and operational response activities
- Manage vulnerability management processes and remediation programmes across the estate
- Provide strategic cyber security advice to senior leadership and business stakeholders
- Manage relationships with MSSPs, external agencies, vendors, and technology partners
- Develop CSOC strategy, governance frameworks, tooling roadmaps, and resource plans
- Ensure alignment with relevant regulations, frameworks, and government guidance

- Strong background in incident response, threat intelligence, and security operations
- Proven experience leading and managing a SOC/CSOC function
- Demonstrated experience delivering effective security monitoring capabilities
- Experience operating and managing cyber security tools, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and monitoring platforms
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management and cyber resilience practices
- Experience managing security service providers, vendors, and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of GDPR, NIS Regulations, NCSC guidance, ITIL, and MITRE ATT&CK
- Strategic mindset with experience planning cyber investment, governance, tooling, and staffing requirements
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
