SOC Team Leader
Aylesbury | Days Only Mon-Friday - 2 days WFH | Technical Leadership | Major Incident Response

I'm working with a growing Managed Security Services Provider that's investing heavily in its Security Operations Centre and is looking for an experienced SOC Level 3 SOC Analyst / SSOC Team Leader to become one of the technical leaders within the team.
This isn't a role where you'll be watching dashboards all day. You'll be leading major incident investigations, driving threat hunting activity, improving detection capabilities and helping shape the future direction of the SOC.

What you'll be doing:
- Leading investigations into ransomware, advanced persistent threats, and major security incidents.
- Acting as the senior technical escalation point within the SOC.
- Managing incidents from detection through to containment, remediation, and recovery.
- Driving improvements across SIEM, EDR, detection engineering, and automation.
- Proactively hunting for threats and identifying opportunities to strengthen customer environments.
- Mentoring junior analysts and helping raise the technical capability of the team.
What they're looking for:
- 5+ years' experience within a SOC, MSSP, or Incident Response environment.
- Proven experience leading complex cyber security incidents.
- Strong SIEM and EDR knowledge (CrowdStrike experience would be a real advantage).
- Threat hunting, malware analysis, and digital forensics experience.
- A solid understanding of attacker methodologies, MITRE ATT&CK, and the modern threat landscape.
- Someone comfortable communicating with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
