About the Role
We're looking for a creative, social-obsessed Social & Brand Marketing Executive to plan, create and deliver Different Dog's marketing content - across social, website, emails, and printed collateral.
This is an exciting, hands-on role for a natural content creator and writer who loves getting stuck in. You’ll own our social channels end-to-end: planning the calendar and capturing content that feels authentic and relatable. You don’t need to be a professional videographer, but you do need to be comfortable picking up a phone to point-and-shoot content on the fly. Whether that’s filming behind-the-scenes moments, capturing our HQ team and office dogs, or pulling together social-native statics and carousels.
Equally important is your love for copywriting. You’ll write adaptable copy across every touchpoint, from punchy social captions to engaging blog posts, landing pages, and printed materials. As part of a close-knit team, you’ll also get involved in wider brand moments, supporting the Brand Marketing Manager with campaign planning and delivery, PR activations, brand partnerships, customer events and more!

We are a subscription-based B Corp™ delivering gently cooked, healthy food to over 20,000 UK dogs, and our customer reviews speak for themselves.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do
- Organic social channel management: Plan, schedule, and manage our daily social media calendar to drive channel growth and active community engagement. Spot relevant digital trends and translate them into brand-appropriate content. Film, edit, and publish native mobile video, carousels, and static assets for all organic social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and a community Facebook page). For high production campaigns, you will also work alongside our in-house creative team, including a videographer, to produce content.
- Copywriting & brand storytelling: Write clear, engaging copy that brings the Different Dog brand story to life. Adapt your style seamlessly across formats, including short-form social copy, promotional emails, educational website blogs, landing page messaging, and printed event or customer collateral.
- Performance analysis & optimisation: Track, analyse, and report on social media metrics and content engagement. Turn data insights into actionable learnings to continually refine our social strategy and creative direction.
- Brand marketing support: Assist the Brand Marketing Manager with wider brand priorities such as campaign management, PR initiatives, creative photoshoots, brand partnerships and live events as required.
- Brand operations & administration: Keep all brand marketing and content calendars up to date. Manage brand-specific administration, including raising purchase orders (POs) and tracking spend against allocated brand budgets.
Who You Are
- A social media native: You have a deep, practical understanding of platform mechanics, algorithm updates, and content distribution across key platforms. You know how to build and nurture a brand community, foster two-way conversations, manage social interactions, and use platform features to convert casual viewers into engaged brand advocates.
- A versatile storyteller: You have an exceptional grasp of brand tone of voice and know how to adjust depth, tone, and format depending on the medium - from quick scroll-stoppers to longer informational pieces.
- An agile content creator: You have a strong visual eye and practical video editing skills (using tools like CapCut or Canva) to turn ideas into published content efficiently.
- Analytical & data-informed: You enjoy digging into post performance data to understand what content resonates, using those insights to continuously test, iterate, and improve engagement metrics.
- Organised & process-minded: You take pride in maintaining structured calendars, running clear workflows, and keeping administrative details accurate.
- A collaborative team player: Comfortable working in an adaptable, tight-knit environment and eager to support wider team projects on-site or on-location.
- Passionate about dogs: A genuine interest in our mission to change dogs' lives shines through in your work and interactions.
