Are you passionate about helping people live independently and achieve their goals? As a Social Care Practitioner, you will be at the heart of improving lives and wellbeing across Wiltshire. You will join a forward-thinking team that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth - where your ideas truly matter.
In this rewarding role, you will manage your own caseload and work closely with customers, carers, and partner agencies to deliver person-centred care. Working collaboratively with Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and multi-professional teams, you will promote independence, choice, and wellbeing using universal services and community resources.
As this is a fast-paced team, you will lean on your organisational ability to manage caseloads effectively and have excellent communication skills to be able to work collaboratively. In addition to a sound understanding of the Care Act 2014, you will hold an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or the ability to work towards this qualification and have experience of working within a Health or Social Care setting.
You will be providing outcome-focused assessments to identify the right support for positive life changes and creating and reviewing support plans that make a real difference. If you’re ready to bring your skills, compassion, and energy to a role that truly changes lives, apply today and start your journey with us!
Please note that this is a county-wide role and will involve travelling.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
