Positions Available
- 1 x 24 hour position - Permanent
- 1 x 36 hour position - Permanent
Role Description
To act as key worker for a number of individuals, who may be resident in the Care Home or who may use day care facilities. This may include continuing to work with these individuals if they are temporarily moved to other facilities e.g., for recuperation or reablement.
Following appropriate training, to act as shift leader. This involves having temporary charge of the Care Home including being responsible for all security and staffing matters during that period. To contribute and support the delivery of reablement plans for individuals (maximising individuals’ potential).
To provide personal care and support to individuals.
Location
Strathburn House is situated in Gairloch on the West Coast of the Highlands in Scotland and is part of the North Coast 500 area. It is an integral part of the local community. For the staff working at Strathburn there are many opportunities for learning and development and we would welcome your application to be part of our Strathburn family. There are lots of activities nearby including the Torridon Hills and other notable walks and trails. Gairloch also has some beautiful beaches nearby such as Big Sands, Red Point Beach and the very well-known Gruinard Bay where water sports can be found. There are also opportunities to fish and try falconry as well as many other skills. In high season, there are lovely cafes and restaurants to grab a bite. The award winning Gairloch Museum is a must to learning more about the local history. Other interesting attractions are the old gun turrets at the end of Cove where you will find many World War II artefacts and information. Accommodation can be found in the local areas of Inverasdale, Poolewe, Aultbea and Gairloch, all very commutable via car.
