Social & Community Manager | Leo Burnett UK

We believe in the power of populist creativity to help brands grow, and have done so for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including McDonald’s and Kellogg’s. We’re a truly integrated creative agency, where great ideas can live anywhere - and increasingly, that means social.

We’re looking for a Social & Community Manager who lives and breathes social. Someone who understands what makes people stop, engage, share and talk – and knows how brands can genuinely earn a place in those conversations.

This isn’t a role focused purely on publishing content or moderating comments. You’ll be at the heart of our clients’ social presence, combining strong social thinking, cultural awareness and community expertise to make our brands feel relevant, human and part of the conversation. We’re particularly looking for someone with agency and client-facing experience who is comfortable working directly with clients, presenting ideas and recommendations, and collaborating with creative, strategy and account teams to deliver brilliant social work.

The Role

As our Social & Community Manager, you’ll help shape how our brands show up across social – from the content we put out, to the conversations we join and the communities we build. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Social Strategy & Thinking: Bring a strong understanding of social platforms, audiences and behaviours to help shape social approaches for our clients.
  • Social Content: Work with creative and strategy teams to develop engaging, culturally relevant social content that feels native to each platform.
  • Community Management: Own reactive and proactive community management across our brands, responding to comments and DMs with personality, care and the right tone of voice.
  • Proactive Engagement: Look beyond our own channels to identify relevant creators, communities, cultural accounts and conversations where our brands can authentically participate.
  • Client Relationships: Build trusted relationships with clients, confidently sharing social recommendations, insights, ideas and performance updates.
  • Cultural & Social Listening: Stay close to what’s happening across social and culture – from emerging trends and conversations to changes in platform behaviour – and translate these into opportunities for our brands.
  • Social Reporting & Insights: Monitor performance, audience sentiment and community behaviour, turning data and observations into clear learnings and recommendations.
  • Social Planning: Support day-to-day social planning and content calendars, ensuring work is timely, relevant and aligned with wider brand activity.
  • Copywriting: Write sharp, engaging, platform-native copy that feels natural to the audience and true to each brand.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with creatives, strategists and account teams to turn social opportunities into great ideas and campaigns.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
