Who we are:
White Stuff was established in 1985 through a simple idea. This idea grew and now we have shops and concessions in the UK and internationally, selling women’s and men’s clothing as well as beautiful accessories and homeware. Our original prints (all designed in-house), intricate details, and considered design touches reflect our personality and make us subtly distinctive.
Our people are at the heart of our brand, constantly moving and driving us forward. We’re sociable, talented, and like-minded, and we’re not hierarchical or political in how we do business. We encourage entrepreneurial ideas and accountability at all levels.
Who you are:
You are a Social Media Content Creator with exceptional taste: someone genuinely embedded in fashion and community culture, with sharp cultural instinct, original ideas, and a point of view on what makes content feel elevated rather than just on-trend. You have strong creative judgment, know a good idea when you see one, and aren't afraid to pitch it before you're asked. You spot cultural moments worth reacting to, and find the angle that makes product and lifestyle content feel sharper than the category norm.
You'll work closely with the Social Media Coordinator, who owns reporting, planning, and scheduling, while you bring the ideas, taste, and execution that make the content actually land.
Primary objective of the job:
To originate and produce exceptional social-first content for White Stuff, bringing sharp cultural instinct, original ideas, and creative taste to elevate how our product, brand, and community are seen across social platforms. Acting as a creative partner to the senior designer and campaign art director and the wider marketing team, the role is responsible for shaping ideas from concept through to execution, not just delivering on a brief, and for bringing our positioning as champions of the independent spirit to life through real people and real community moments.
Ideas & Creative Direction
- Develop original, social-first content series and recurring formats that build a distinct identity for the brand, not one-off posts
- Bring fresh, unbriefed ideas to campaigns, pitching concepts rather than waiting for direction
- Spot and act on cultural moments and conversations worth reacting to, with the judgment to know what's a fit and what isn't
- Drive the elevation of how product and lifestyle content looks and feels, pushing taste and craft, not just output
- Act as a creative partner to our senior designer and campaign art director, as well as the wider marketing team, shaping ideas from concept through execution
- Champion real people and real community stories in content, in line with our positioning as champions of the independent spirit
- Contribute ideas that support the wider brand ambition to become the UK's most influential lifestyle brand, connecting social content to marketing campaigns and content pillars

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
