Social Content Creator / Manager
Location: Manchester
Our client, a growing organisation based in Manchester, is looking for a highly creative Social Content Creator / Manager to take ownership of their social media presence, with a particular focus on video, storytelling, Social PR and innovative content creation.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role for someone who loves creating content, developing ideas and finding new ways to make brands stand out. You’ll have the freedom to take ownership of the social function, experiment with new formats and platforms, and embrace AI and emerging technology to elevate the quality and impact of your work.
The Role
You will:
- Take ownership of the organisation's social media presence and organic content strategy.
- Develop creative and engaging content, with a strong focus on video and storytelling.
- Take ideas from concept through to production, editing and publishing.
- Create compelling short-form video, social posts and other digital content.
- Develop creative campaigns that bring products, services and stories to life.
- Identify opportunities for Social PR, trends and conversations that can generate positive brand exposure.
- Stay ahead of emerging social platforms, formats, trends and best practices.
- Embrace AI tools and emerging technology to enhance content quality, creativity and efficiency.
- Manage and grow the organisation's organic social presence.
- Monitor social media performance and use insights to continually improve content.
- Manage community engagement and respond appropriately to audiences and customers.
- Develop and deliver social campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Work independently, managing your own workload, priorities and content calendar.

About You
We're looking for a creative, hands-on social specialist who can combine great ideas with excellent execution.
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience creating engaging social media content, particularly video.
- A strong creative eye and the ability to develop original content ideas.
- Excellent storytelling skills and an understanding of what makes people stop, watch and engage.
- Experience managing social media channels and growing organic audiences.
- Experience with short-form video, editing and content production.
- An understanding of Social PR, brand reputation and how to generate attention through social channels.
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
- A genuine interest in emerging social trends, platforms and technologies.
- An enthusiasm for AI and its application within content creation and social media.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A good understanding of social analytics and using performance data to improve content.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
