Social & Content Lead
We're recruiting for a Social & Content Lead to join a market-leading and growing Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) operator, taking ownership of its organic social media and content approach.
The business has a significant UK presence, currently providing over 10,000 beds across 34 sites, and continues to grow its portfolio. At the heart of the business is the student experience - creating environments where students feel comfortable, supported and part of a community.
With that growth comes an exciting opportunity to evolve how the brand connects with both current and future students.
About the Role
This is a hands-on creative role combining social strategy, content creation, student insight and channel ownership. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the brand shows up across social, create original content, develop a network of student creators and ensure its content stays relevant as platforms and audience behaviours evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continually develop the organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms
- Manage the social content calendar, aligning activity with wider marketing, campaign and commercial priorities
- Create engaging, social-first content including short-form video, photography and interviews
- Bring student life, properties, cities, events and resident experiences to life through compelling content
- Identify emerging social trends, formats and conversations and translate them into relevant opportunities
- Build and develop a network of student content creators, generating a consistent pipeline of authentic UGC
- Use social listening, audience insight and platform behaviour to inform content and wider marketing activity
- Work closely with Creative, Digital, Campaigns and operational teams across the business
- Track content performance and use data to continually optimise activity
- Explore AI, emerging technology, new platforms and changing approaches to content discovery
- Regularly visit locations across the UK to capture original content and engage with students

What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing or a related role
- Experience owning or significantly contributing to social media channels and content strategy
- A strong portfolio of engaging, social-first content, particularly short-form video
- Hands-on experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram and other relevant platforms
- Confidence shooting and editing content, as well as engaging with and directing people on camera
- A strong understanding of social platforms, trends and how different audiences behave
- Someone who can combine creative instinct with audience insight and commercial thinking
- A proactive approach - you’ll be comfortable taking ownership, bringing forward ideas and making things happen
- Experience working with creators, influencers or UGC would be advantageous
- Experience within student, youth, lifestyle, hospitality, property or another consumer-facing sector would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
