iQ is one of the UK's biggest providers of student accommodation, committed to giving our 37,000 students in 86 sites across 29 UK cities their best year yet.

Our London and Manchester based support teams are the cog that keeps the iQ wheels turning, providing our brilliant site teams with everything they need to deliver a fantastic student experience every day.

iQers are a pretty special bunch. Our team is bursting with independent thinkers and problem solvers, who join us to explore what's possible and build a career as part of a diverse, fun and supportive team. If you have people skills, personality and potential then you have all the makings of a great iQer.

The role

We're looking for a creative, commercially-minded Social Content Manager to take ownership of our social media presence and help shape how thousands of students experience and engage with the iQ brand.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Brand & Campaigns, you'll lead the development and delivery of our social media and content strategy, creating compelling, social-first content that builds brand relevance, grows our audiences and supports our wider commercial goals.

This is an opportunity for someone who lives and breathes social media. You'll be responsible for identifying emerging trends, cultural moments, creators and conversations that matter to students, turning them into engaging content that feels authentic, distinctive and unmistakably iQ.

Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Brand, Studio and Operations, you'll create and deliver a steady stream of high-quality content from across our UK portfolio, ensuring our channels remain relevant, engaging and performance-driven. You'll also lead and develop our Social Media Executive, helping to elevate social media excellence across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key responsibilities

Shape iQ's Social Strategy

You'll own the day-to-day management and evolution of iQ's social channels, helping define the role each platform plays within our wider marketing strategy. Using audience insights, social listening and trend analysis, you'll create channel-specific plans that connect with students in meaningful ways and keep iQ at the heart of student culture.

Create Content That Students Want to Engage With

From short-form video and creator collaborations to student stories and community-led content, you'll lead the planning, development and production of social-first content that drives engagement and delivers results. You'll regularly visit properties across the portfolio, uncovering authentic stories and content opportunities that showcase life at iQ.

Turn Performance Into Action

You'll use data, insights and platform analytics to understand what's working and what's next. Rather than simply reporting results, you'll continuously optimise content, test new ideas, and identify opportunities that strengthen audience growth, engagement and commercial performance.

Build Relationships and Inspire Others

You'll manage and support our Social Media Executive while collaborating with teams across Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations and our property network. You'll also work with creators, ambassadors, agencies and influencers to develop content that is authentic, impactful and aligned with our brand.
