Content Producer

£35,000 - £50,000 | London | Full-time

About Us

Simmer is one of the UK’s fastest-growing food brands, built on a simple belief: healthy food should taste extraordinary.

Founded by brothers Simmy and Jhai with just £10 of ingredients, Simmer has grown from a university kitchen into a profitable, bootstrapped business serving tens of thousands of customers across the UK and ranking as the 5th fastest-growing company in the Sunday Times 100.

We’ve grown unusually quickly with a deliberately lean team, and creative has played a huge role in that growth. A lot of what has worked for us has come from authentic founder-led storytelling, strong products and social-first content that feels real rather than overly polished.

We’ve never tried to look like a corporate brand.

Sometimes the best answer is fast, scrappy and shot on an iPhone. Sometimes the moment deserves something more considered and beautifully produced.

The important thing is knowing the difference.

Simmer is still fully founder-led, with no private equity or corporate layers. The founders remain deeply involved in the business, set the standard and stay close to the work. For people who join, that means real ownership, direct exposure to decision-making and the opportunity to work on things that genuinely move the business.

The Role

This is a hands-on, social-first creative role for someone who can come up with ideas, make them better and then bring them to life.

You’ll work across the full creative process:

  • idea
  • concept
  • hook / story
  • script / shot list
  • production
  • filming
  • editing
  • delivery

We’re looking for someone who can genuinely ideate, produce, shoot and edit, with the creative judgement to improve the work before it gets made.

Sometimes the idea will start with you. Sometimes it will come from someone else in the team. Either way, your role is to help turn it into something stronger and then get it made.

The focus is organic social. You’ll work across founder-led storytelling, food and product content, social-first entertainment, UGC-style content, recurring formats, culturally relevant ideas, ambassador-led creative and launch moments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The goal is simple: create content people genuinely want to watch, remember and share.

What You’ll Own

  • Ideas & creative development - contribute social-first ideas across TikTok, Instagram, Reels and YouTube, and turn loose thoughts into stronger hooks, stories, scripts, formats and shootable concepts.
  • End-to-end production - take ideas from concept through to execution, planning shoots and organising locations, talent, props, timings and shot lists.
  • Shooting - film content yourself, using camera or mobile depending on what the idea needs.
  • Editing - take your own footage through to final delivery, with a strong eye for pacing, storytelling, sound, retention and platform-native execution.
  • Repeatable formats & content rhythm - develop recurring series that can become recognisable parts of the Simmer brand, plan upcoming shoots and keep strong ideas moving from concept to execution.
  • Learning & creative quality - stay close to what people watch, share, comment on and come back for, using those signals to improve the next piece and help raise the standard of the team’s output.

What We’re Looking For

Your exact title matters less than the work you’ve actually made.

You might currently be a Content Producer, Social Content Producer, Creative Producer, Social Creative, Senior Content Creator, Creative Content Producer or Videographer / Editor with strong social and ideation experience.

You’ll probably have a few years of relevant experience in a social-first agency, content studio, media business or consumer brand.

We think you’ll be a strong fit if you:

  • can genuinely ideate, produce, shoot and edit
  • have a strong portfolio of organic/social-first work
  • understand what makes content work on TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • have strong creative judgement and strong visual taste
  • understand hooks, storytelling, pacing and retention
  • can take a loose idea and turn it into something clear and executable
  • are comfortable planning and running shoots yourself
  • can own work from first idea through to final asset
  • are organised enough to keep multiple pieces of content moving
  • enjoy collaborating closely with other creatives
  • are curious, receptive to feedback and keen to keep improving
  • want more creative responsibility over time

You don’t need to have already been a Creative Lead or managed a large team. We’re deliberately looking for someone who is already strong in the craft but still has plenty of headroom to grow.

Why Simmer?

You’ll join at a point where the creative team is still small enough for your work to genuinely shape the brand.

You won’t be one producer sitting several layers away from the decisions.

You’ll work closely with the people building Simmer, have real ownership across the creative process and be able to see the impact of what you make.

You’ll get the opportunity to:

  • create work seen by a large and growing audience
  • work across ideas, production, shooting and editing rather than being boxed into one discipline
  • help shape how one of the UK’s fastest-growing food brands shows up on social
  • build formats and creative ideas that can become recognisable parts of the brand
  • work closely with a lean, founder-led team where decisions happen quickly
  • develop into broader creative ownership as the team grows

We’re not looking for someone who has already done everything, we're looking for someone with strong foundations, great instincts and the potential to become much more.

For the right person, this is a chance to do some of the best work of your career so far and grow with the brand while you do it.

We care much more about what you’ve made than having the perfect CV. Please send a portfolio, showreel, social account or 2–3 examples of work you’re proud of to Kate@simmereats.com.
